Admission Criteria:
- Admissions are primarily based on the university's own entrance examination, **KIITEE (KIIT Entrance Examination)**. For some specific programs, national-level entrance exam scores are also accepted.
- **For B.Tech (4 Years) / B.Tech & M.Tech (Biotechnology) (5 Years):**
- Passed 10+2 examination in 2023, 2024, or appearing in 2025.
- Minimum 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) taken together for B.Tech. For Biotechnology, PCM/PCB.
- Selection based on **KIITEE** rank.
- **For MBBS/BDS:**
- Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English with at least 60% marks in aggregate.
- Selection based on valid **NEET UG** score.
- **For MBA:**
- Bachelor's Degree with minimum 50% marks in graduation, and also 50% in 10th & 12th.
- Selection based on scores from CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, or KIITEE Management, followed by Group Discussion (GD), Personal Interview (PI), and Written Ability Test (WAT).
- **For Law (BA.LLB/BBA.LLB/B.Sc.LLB):**
- 10+2 pass with at least 45% marks (for B.Sc.LLB, Science stream required).

KIIT was established in 1992 as a vocational training center and started degree programs in 1997. It was conferred the status of **"Deemed to be University"** under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956, in 2004. It is recognized by the **University Grants Commission (UGC)** and holds **"Category A++" status** by the Ministry of Education, Government of India. It has been accredited with 'A++' Grade by NAAC and its engineering degrees are accredited as **"Tier 1" (Washington Accord) by NBA** and also by IET, UK, and ABET, USA. Important Dates (Expected for 2025-26):
